Family Friendly Pizza Spot in Plano
I’m always on the hunt for a great family friendly restaurant. You know, the type where there is something on the menu for everyone, including picky little eaters, quality ingredients that won’t have you feeling guilty after you eat, and that is casual enough that you feel comfortable with your kids. Well, I found such a place! My family and I visited Dough Society Pizza the other day and loved it!
The vibe is super laid back and they have a nice covered patio with patio chairs and high top tables with TVs if you want to hang out and watch the game. The menu covers all the staples of your traditional pizzeria, pizza (duh), cheesy bread, wings, and an array of fresh salads. They also have lasagna and meatballs. Even if you’re trying to eat clean, you can order the wings and not even count it as a cheat meal, because the wings are baked! They offer with six different sauces that they can be tossed in (my faves were the barbecue and the basil pesto). You can choose from a variety of dipping sauces for the wings. The menu includes classic pizzas like pepperoni and Margarita, but there are also some more sophisticated combinations like pear and prosciutto, spinach artichoke, and pig and the fig, which features mission fig jam and goat cheese. There are lots of gluten free pizza options as well.
What I really like about Dough Street, that sets it apart from most places, is their story. They are a family owned shop that prides itself on creating fresh, quality ingredients. Everything is made in house daily. They don’t have a freezer! Even the dough is made by hand each day, and you can tell! It has a crispy, chewy, hint of sourdough but almost a French bread taste.
Stop in to Dough Street he next time you want to enjoy a great meal with the whole family . They also deliver if you are in the West Plano area.
