What to serve with herb and garlic cream cheese
I’m all about the brunch stations. You can fancy things up by adding this cream cheese to a bagel board for a weekend brunch with the family or if you’re hosting brunch at home. The cream cheese pairs so well with capers and lox.
- I enjoy the cream cheese on toast or crackers as a snack or appetizer.
- Spread it on a sandwich with your favorite meat and veggies for a nice change from mayo.
- Add to a pan of sautéed spinach for a yummy creamed spinach dish.
- Use it to stuff chicken or fish.
Tips for making herb and garlic cream cheese
- You can use a block or a tub of cream cheese.
- Leave your cream cheese out for an hour or so on the counter to soften it up before mixing.
- This recipe calls for garlic powder but you can use fresh garlic if you like. If using fresh garlic, I would use less than a ¼ teaspoon because the flavor will be stronger than garlic powder. Also make sure you mince the garlic very finely.
- If you are making this to serve at brunch, I would prepare this the day before serving so the flavors really have a chance to set.
- Use a hand mixer for this recipe --unless you are trying to get a wrist work out!
