As we enter into spring, it's time to refresh your home décor and embrace the new season.
There are so many holidays that provide opportunities for hosting events in the spring---if you need a reason. One of the most beautiful ways to do that is by creating a stunning spring tablescape that will delight your guests and elevate your dining experience.
Whether you're hosting a spring brunch, Easter or mother's day gathering, or simply want to add a touch of seasonal charm to your everyday meals, I'm sharing 7 tips to help you create a gorgeous spring tablescape that will make your spring festivities even more special.
1: Choose a Color Scheme
The first step in creating a stunning tablescape is to choose a color scheme that reflects the spring season. I suggest using pastel colors such as pink, blue, yellow, and green. These colors will give your table a fresh and airy feel. For spring, I like to use soft pastels like blush pink, light blue, and mint green. You could also incorporate brighter colors like yellow or orange if you prefer a more vibrant look.
2: Select Your Tablecloth
Once you've chosen your color scheme, it's time to select your tablecloth. I suggest using a light-colored tablecloth such as white or beige. This will provide a neutral background for your table decor. Choose a tablecloth that coordinates with your color scheme. I like to use a neutral linen or cotton tablecloth as a base, and then add pops of color with the napkins. You can choose a patterned napkin or stick with a solid color.
3: Add Layers with Placemats and Chargers
To add depth and dimension to your table, add placemats and chargers. I suggest using woven placemats in a complementary color to your tablecloth. For the chargers, consider using metallics such as gold or silver. For a spring tablescape, I like to use white dishes as a clean and simple base. You could also use pastel-colored dishes if you prefer.

Selecting the right dinnerware is important when creating a tablescape. I suggest using simple white plates as they will provide a clean and classic look. You can also add a pop of color with patterned or colored salad plates.
5: Add Glassware and Flatware
No tablescape is complete without glassware and flatware. I suggest using clear glassware to add a touch of elegance. For the flatware, consider using gold or silver to match your chargers. For glassware, I like to use simple wine glasses and water glasses.
6: Add a Centerpiece to your spring table
A beautiful centerpiece will tie your whole tablescape together. I suggest using fresh flowers or greenery to bring the spring season to your table. You can also add candles or decorative objects to add interest. Now it's time to add some greenery and flowers to your tablescape. I like to use a mix of potted plants, such as succulents or herbs, as well as fresh flowers in a vase. You could also use a floral centerpiece if you prefer.
