Crispy air fryer chicken wings are crisp, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The best part about these wings is I can enjoy them and still stick to my clean eating plan because they are not fried. It’s a win wing (I couldn’t help myself)!

Air Fryer vs Oven
I was on the fence about getting an air fryer. There was so much hype about them, but I really didn’t want another appliance on our countertop. However, when I saw one on sale, I broke down and purchased it.
So far I’m liking it. It’s easy to clean and the food comes out crispy without all of the oil. I also like that I don’t have to use my big oven, especially when the weather is hot. In addition, I find the air fryer cooks food faster than the traditional oven.
WHAT IS THE BEST AIR FRYER?
There are a plethora of air fryers on the market now. Air fryers come in two general styles.
The first is the basket style that closes like a drawer. This is the style I have.
A second is a mini oven style (looks similar to a toaster oven) that has a window and opens like a traditional oven door.
I’ve seen others that are ahybridof an air fryer and an instapot, or some other appliance.
If you don’t have an air fryer or aren’t ready to take the plunge, you can absolutely make these wings in your traditional oven or toaster oven.
I would adjust the cooking time by cooking the wings for 45 minutes – 1 hour (depending on your oven) and flip the wings half-way between cooking.
How to Make Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Wings
I wash my wings in lemon juice or white vinegar and rinse with cold water. After I rinse the wings I pat them thoroughly with paper towels to get all of the excess water out.

Line the bottom of your air fryer with foil for easy cleanup.
Place chicken wings in your air frying basket. Don’t overcrowd the basket, space the wings. My basket holds 10 wings at a time.
Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 10 minute
Flip chicken wings and set them on 400 degrees for another 10 minutes.
Set air fryer chicken wings on a plate and garnish with cilantro.
Can You Put Raw Chicken in the Air Fryer?
I don’t suggest putting raw chicken wings in the air fryer. Make sure to thaw any meat you put in the air fryer thoroughly before cooking it.
Keep in mind, cooking time will vary depending on your fryer. Also, depending on how many wings you are frying you may have to do multiple batches. My air fryer holds about 10 wings at a time. You don’t want the wings to overlap.
Crispy Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Wings
Use this recipe as a base and experiment with different seasonings like lemon pepper. Add more lemon, lemon peppers seasoning and lemon zest.
Crispy Air fryer Garlic Parmesan Wings
After following the recipe, toss wings in fresh garlic, grated parmesan cheese, and melted butter. Garnish with fresh parsley.
What to Serve With Your Crispy Air Fryer Wings
Some of my favorite was to enjoy these wings are with carrots and celery and my favorite dip team ranch! You can mix it up with siracha, ranch, blue cheese, or BBQ sauce.
Throw some frozen French fries in your air fryer and serve on the side. You’ll feel like you ordered takeout minus the price and the extra salt and calories!
