Are you looking to host a memorable girls' night without the hassle of going out? A PJ’s and TJ's Girls Night In is the perfect way to unwind with your best friends, enjoy delicious snacks, and sip on easy cocktails, all in the comfort of your favorite pajamas. In this post, I’ll show you how to create a cozy, Instagram-worthy night using the best snacks, drinks, and décor—all from Trader Joe’s. This post focuses on Fall snacks but you could host this girls' night in theme during any season.

Set the Scene with Cozy Pajamas and Décor

The beauty of a PJ’s night is that comfort is the priority, so go all out on creating the coziest setting. Think soft blankets, fluffy pillows, and low lighting to create the ultimate relaxed atmosphere. If you want to add a bit of flair, consider a color scheme (like pastel pinks or calming blues) to tie everything together. This particular party was hosted during the Fall, so we went with a cozy Fall theme, with earth tones.

The foundation of any girls' night in is comfort, so encourage your guests to wear their coziest or cutest pajamas. Want to elevate the experience? Provide your girls with matching sleep masks, slippers, or fuzzy socks for a fun touch. These also make for adorable photos.

    Curate a TJ’s-Inspired Snack Board

The highlight of a Trader Joe’s Girls Night is, of course, the food! Trader Joe’s has an incredible selection of snacks, and it’s easy to create an amazing snack board for your guests. You can have each guest bring their favorite snack to add to the board.

For our girls night we did snacks but we also served chili and chicken noodle soup as the main course, because we were going for cozy Fall vibes and what's cozier than chili and homemade soup.

For variety, mix savory and sweet items, and arrange everything charcuterie-style to make it visually appealing. Not only does this setup look amazing, but it’s also Instagram-worthy and perfect for grazing throughout the night. Here are some must-haves for your charcuterie-style spread:

    Savory Snacks:

Everything but the Bagel seasoned crackers

    Fig and Rosemary Crackers

Unexpected Cheddar Cheese with fig jam

Spinach & Artichoke Dip with tortilla chips

    Buffalo Chicken Dip

    Sweet Treats:

    Dark Chocolate Covered Pretzel Slims

Cookie Butter with apple slices or graham crackers

    JoeJoe's Sandwich Cookies

Lemon Bars or Pumpkin bread (one of the box mixes)

Sip on Easy TJ's Cocktails and Mocktails

No girls' night is complete without fun drinks! Keep it simple by using Trader Joe’s beverages to make easy cocktails and mocktails. Here are a few crowd-pleasing options:

    • Cucumber Cooler: Mix Trader Joe’s sparkling lime water with fresh cucumber and mint. Add vodka or gin for a cocktail version.
    • Sparkling Peach Bellini: Use TJ’s sparkling peach Bellini.
    • Spicy Margarita: Combine Trader Joe’s jalapeño limeade with tequila, and rim your glasses with Tajín for a kick.

For non-alcoholic options, stick to the same mocktails, or serve TJ’s sparkling water or juices. You could also set up a DIY drink station where your guests can mix and match ingredients.

PJ's Movie Marathon or Game Night

Once everyone’s settled in with their snacks and drinks, it’s time to entertain! You can go one of two ways: a movie marathon or a game night.

    • Movie Marathon: Queue up your favorite chick flicks or nostalgic movies. Think Clueless, Mean Girls, or Legally Blonde. Or watch a few episodes of a show like Gilmore Girls, Insecure, Girlfriends, or Sex and The Season. Have popcorn on hand (Trader Joe’s has great flavors like Olive Oil and kettle corn).
    • Game Night: Keep it light and fun with games like charades, Pictionary, or card games that everyone can play in their PJ’s. You could even make the games Trader Joe’s-themed, with TJ’s snacks as prizes!

    TJ's Goodie Bags

As a final touch, send your guests home with Trader Joe’s goodie bags. Fill them with mini treats like a small jar of Cookie Butter, chocolate bars, or travel-sized hand creams. It’s a sweet and thoughtful way to thank your friends for coming and keep the Trader Joe’s girls' night theme going. For our party everyone brought a Trader Joe's bags with a few of their favorite snacks and each person picked a bag before they left.

    Final Thoughts

A PJ’s and TJ's Girls Night In is all about comfort, good food, and great company. By using these ideas, you’ll create a memorable night filled with laughs, delicious Trader Joe’s snacks, and easy-to-make cocktails. Best of all, hosting is stress-free when everything comes from Trader Joe’s, making it affordable and fun!

So, grab your favorite pajamas, head to Trader Joe’s, and get ready for a night of pure relaxation and joy.
