My absolute favorite foodie event of the year is almost here, and I want you to join me! Picture it (in my Sophia Petrillo voice) Dallas, in the Fall, at the beautiful Klyde Warren park, some of the greatest culinary minds in Texas gathered together to present tasty dishes. Cocktails, wine, and champagne to sip on as you take in the scenic downtown views. What is this magical event I speak of? It's none other than Park and Palate. And in case that wasn't enough to entice you to go, the event benefits Klyde Warren Park, the Central Park of Dallas. The quality of food is top notch and there is so much. I was so full that I didn't even have room to make a second trip to some of the tables I loved.
Okay, slight confession, I kind of have this thing where I get excited about meeting Chefs. It probably sounds odd, but it's true. I am so fascinated by their thought process when creating a dish. I'm intrigued by what made them blend particular ingredients, and how they are inspired to create a dish. At last year's event I met chefs from some of my favorite restaurants and got to talk to them about these very things. It was such a treat to pick their brains about food. I also found out the secret to making good mofongo and paella, hint: it's all about the broth. I'm telling you, I was in foodie nirvana. If I could only attend one foodie event for the year, this hands down would be it! The event is October 27th, which will be here before you know it so get your tickets before they sell out!
