If you’re craving a fresh start, a little clarity, and an excuse to gather your favorite people around good food and bubbly, a vision board brunch party might be exactly what you need.

Hosting a vision board brunch is one of my favorite ways to kick off the new year — or honestly, any season that calls for a reset. It combines intentional goal setting, creativity, and brunch (which we know makes everything better). Whether you’re planning a cozy gathering at home, hosting at a restaurant, or even doing a virtual vision board party, this guide will walk you through how to host a meaningful, inspiring, and fun event your guests will be talking about long after the last mimosa is poured.
What is a vision board?
A vision board is a visual representation of your goals, dreams, and intentions. It’s rooted in the idea of visualization and manifestation — putting what you want front and center so you’re reminded of it daily.
Vision boards can be:
-
Physical boards made with magazine clippings, photos, and words
-
Digital or virtual vision boards created online
-
Framed prints you keep on your desk or nightstand
I’ve tried just about every version, and my favorite is a simple 8×10 framed board. It’s intentional, easy to display, and actually gets seen — which is kind of the whole point. Creating a vision board forces you to slow down, get clear on your goals, and think about what you truly want more of (and less of) in your life.
That clarity is exactly why a vision board brunch party works so well. You’re not just setting goals — you’re doing it in community.
Why You Should Host a Vision Board Brunch
A vision board brunch isn’t just another get-together. It’s:
-
A meaningful way to start the year (or a new season)
-
An intentional alternative to loud parties or rushed resolutions
-
A chance to connect, reflect, and dream together
-
A built-in accountability moment with friends
When you pair goal setting with good food, cocktails, and conversation, the process feels less intimidating and way more empowering. It turns “new year, new me” energy into something sustainable and supportive.
Planning a Virtual Vision Board
You can host your vision board brunch:
-
At home for a cozy, relaxed vibe
-
At a restaurant to skip the cleanup and heavy lifting
-
Virtually using Zoom if friends are in different cities
I’ve done all three, but hosting at a restaurant can be a game changer. I hosted mine at a restaurant that had a private room.
A virtual vision board party could be where everyone creates their board ahead of time and you present them and talk about it as way to hold each other accountable.
How to Host a Virtual Vision Board Party
A virtual vision board party works surprisingly well, especially if everyone creates their board ahead of time. During the call, each person can:
-
Share their vision board
-
Talk through one or two goals
-
Choose an accountability check-in date
You can follow the same structure as an in-person brunch, just without the shared table (and maybe with everyone sipping mimosas at home).

Vision Board Brunch Menu Ideas
Since brunch is kind of my love language, this part matters.
If you’re hosting at home, keep it simple but elevated:
-
Breakfast tostadas
-
Fresh fruit and Easy Cinnamon Rolls
And of course…

Don’t Forget the Cocktails 🍾
A mimosa bar is perfect for a vision board brunch:
-
Sparkling wine (ask guests to bring a bottle)
-
Orange juice, grapefruit juice, or peach nectar
-
Fresh fruit for garnish
- Or make one of these signature cocktails.
It keeps things celebratory and helps everyone relax into the experience.
