How to Eat Healthy Without Getting Bored

Today I will be discussing how to eat healthy without getting bored. This post is brought to you by our sponsor, Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. The opinions expressed below are my own.

    .

This is part 3 of a 4 part series of the Always Eat After 7 PM Book. This series will document my experience and results from following the program from the Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. If you missed part 1 and part 2 of this series go catch up.

Maintaining a Healthy Diet Without Getting Bored

Always Eat After 7 pm is a three-phase program that teaches you how to lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriest—in the evening. This may sound too good to be true, but let me assure you it is no gimmick. It’s all about making strategic and smart food swaps, and you can still eat your favorite foods. This program shows you exactly how to eat healthy without getting bored

    .

When embarking on this new healthy lifestyle, I was concerned about getting bored with food. I am a foodie, therefore enjoying my meals is a must. In Phase 3, the Main Phase, you learn how to really make the Always Eat After 7 PM program a lifestyle. This phase lasts until you achieve your weight loss goals. Similar to the Acceleration Phase, the emphasis is on protein, non-starchy vegetables, and friendly fats. And the best part, you can have alcohol and dessert in this phase (yasss!).

Healthy Food Does Not Have To Be Boring.

Author, Joel Marion, states, “Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.” These are my exact sentiments about most weight loss programs, which is often why people, myself included, find it hard to maintain such a restricted diet.

    .

The recipes are yummy and full of flavor. We're not talking about boiled chicken and broccoli here (eww!). I'm talking stuffed baked potatoes, cheesy ground beef skillet, and so many more tasty options.

One of my favorite things about this book and the program is how easy it was to follow. The book contains easy-to-follow meal planning, food lists, and recipe ideas. So there is no guessing about what you should eat to stay within the plan. There is even a guide for eating out, which I definitely appreciated because I really wanted to find a plan that was easy to incorporate into my existing lifestyle. In addition, there are tips for how to eat healthy while traveling as well as a number of social situations, where you may be confused about how to stick to the program.

    .

    .

You can eat dessert and still lose weight.

Yes, you absolutely can enjoy desserts and still lose weight. The Always Eat After 7 PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of the reasons for resistance. There were so many delicious recipes in the book that meal planning was actually fun. I was able to eat many of the foods that I enjoyed eating and didn't feel restricted in my eating. Eating healthy does not have to be boring. The fact that you can have desserts and wine, while still achieving your weight loss goals, is mind-blowing to me.

    .

These are real desserts too, like chocolate and brownies! I didn't go overboard with the drinking. I limited myself to 1 glass of wine on the weekends. Knowing I had stuck to the plan during the week made that glass of wine even more enjoyable.

Since starting the program I have more energy and I feel and look better in my clothes. What I'm most excited about is making better meal choices. I don't feel like I'm depriving myself nor do I feel as if I'm on a "diet." Being able to eat healthy without getting bored has helped me stay on track.
